Ancestry Hints Not Loading

A practical guide to ancestry hints not loading, including what to check, how to protect your research and where to find verified product assistance.

Understand the issue

Family Tree Maker uses FamilySync for compatible Ancestry tree synchronization. Check Software MacKiev’s sync guidance and current sync-weather status before attempting repeated changes.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Save and back up the local tree before synchronization, including linked media if available.
  2. Check the Family Tree Maker edition and build; older editions before 2017 do not support modern Ancestry sync.
  3. Verify your internet connection and sign-in on the official Ancestry site; resolve account issues there rather than in an independent form.
  4. Review Family Tree Maker sync-weather status and pause syncing if the status advises caution.
  5. If the sync stalls, record the message and review MacKiev’s Sync Troubleshooting Guide before unlinking or re-downloading a tree.

How to verify the result

Return to the original action and check that it works without new warnings. For a genealogy tree, verify a sample of names, dates, relationships, sources and photos rather than assuming a successful import or sync preserved everything.

When the problem continues

Record the exact error, product version, device operating system and steps already attempted. Avoid repeating merges, deleting files or resetting an account until you have a restorable backup. Use the product publisher’s official help center for account-specific or version-specific support.

Privacy and safety: Never include living relatives’ private records, DNA data, login credentials, verification codes or payment information in an independent support request. Official password recovery must take place on the provider’s own website.
